Chris Ayres, Dubbing Actor for FREEZER, has passed away

Unfortunately, the anime industry is currently mourning. Today, October 20, it became known that Chris Ayres, actor of dubbing who was in charge of lending his voice to freezer in the English version of Dragon Ball Z , died on October 18 at 56 years of age.

This information was shared by Krystal Laporte, a couple of Ayres, who on Twitter mentioned that the actor died in the company of his loved ones. At the moment there is no cause of his death. When this information makes known, Toei Animation, managers of Dragon Ball, shared the following message :

You rest in peace Chris Ayres, a magnificent actor of dubbing that gave life to many wonderful characters, including our freezer.

You will always be remembered. Thanks for everything .

AYRES was responsible for lending the voice of it to freezer in the English version of Dragon Ball Z , the movies of it and in several games related to this anime. Similarly, the actor also participated in One Piece , in the Fate series, and in many more productions.
