THE HERD | Colin The Los Angeles Rams have decided their guest performance at the Seattle Seahawks with 26:17 for themselves. After a bumpy start, the openness of the guests turned on in the second half. The Seahawks had to deny large parts of the second half without star quarterback Russell Wilson.

Wilson (11/16, 152 yds, TD, INT, 2 ATT, 10 YDS) was hit at the beginning of the second half at a litter of Aaron Donald at the hand. The 32-year-old returned with a strongly taped middle finger back into the game, at the next Drive the host, however, Backup Geno Smith (10/17, 131 YDS, TD, INT, 3 ATT, 23 YDS) took over as the signal Caller of the open.

Wilson have a evil sprained finger , Head Coach Pete Carroll announced after the game. How long Wilson is missing the Seahawks is still unclear. In the worst case, quarterback will need to undergo operation on the hand. So far, Wilson has not missed a game in his career.

Smith initially made his job as a quarterback as a surprisingly good, actually the Seahawks moved the ball better with their backup under Center than over long stretches of the game. At Smith s first two drives, Seattle first achieved a touchdown - D.K. Metcalf (5 REC, 98 YDS, 2 TD) began the ball over Robert Rochell - and then a Field Goal. Two minutes before playing Smith threw an interception in the arms of Nick Scott. Tyler Lockett (5 REC, 57 yds) had previously went to ground in his route.

The Rams had after a very bumpy first half, in the quarterback Matthew Stafford (25/37, 365 YDS, TD, Int) also found themselves on the finger, found in the second round much better into the game, against Robert Woods (12 REC, 150 YDS) and Cooper Couple (7 REC, 92 YDS) found Seattle no answer. Thanks to a 68-yard passport of Stafford on Desean Jackson (REC, 68 YDS), Los Angeles achieved the first touchdown for guests at his first drive after the break: Darrell Henderson (17 ATT, 82 YDS, TD, REC, 17 YDS ) The ball ran into the end zone.

The subsequent drive Found Stafford Tyler Higbee (2 REC, 14 YDS, TD) in the duel with Jamal Adams in the end zone. The touchdown brought the Rams 16: 7 in front. It followed two punts, marriage Smith with his passport to Metcalf and Sony Michel (11 ATT, 37 yds, TD, REC, 8 yds) with a short run two more touchdowns achieved. Smith again led Seattle to Field-Goal-Range and got the ball again after a third-down stop of his defense, threw the game-shaping interception at his first litter. Less than 30 seconds before the end, Matt Gay (2/2 FG, 2/3 XP) increased the lead to 26:17 for L.a.

An extremely curious scene also occurred shortly before the end of the third quarter: a punt of Michael Dickson was first blocked, but Dickson was able to pick up the ball from the ground and shoot with his second punt trial over 68 yards in the opposing half. The punt counted, although Dickson had probably already exceeded the line of scrimming.

NFL: Both offenses start weakly into the game

In the first round, both offenses had not found in the game at all. Stafford equal for several overthrows at Third Down, he also threw a bad interception in the opposing end zone in the arms of Quandre Diggs.

The Seahawks, in turn, were barely moved the ball on the ground and once had more great problems to get a rhythm and constancy in their offense. A pass from Wilson over the middle was repelled by Jalen Ramsey and intercepted by Troy shipowner. The first seven drives of the game ended in four punts, two interceptions as well as a turnover on downs of the Seahawks.

Thanks to a 47-yard penalty against Rochell in the duel with locket, Wilson could find nine minutes before the break Metcalf, the Ramsey with a Skinny Post route, found in the end zone. The Seahawks could not convert their 7: 3 half leaders to a victory.

Seattle meets the Steelers in the coming week in Pittsburgh. The Rams travel to the Giants to New York.

Seahawks vs. Rams - The most important statistics

Since the beginning of last season, no team has a worse success rate at Fourth Downs with two or less yards than the Seahawks. In the first quarter, Seattle played a Fourth-and-Two at the opposing 32-yard line, with Alex Collins Run through the center, however, the hosts did not manage any room - another turnover on downs. D.K. Metcalf began a 19-yard touchdown in the second quarter. For Metcalf it was the third game in series with at least one touchdown catch. Jason Myers went with 39 successful Field Goals from a maximum of 40 yards removal in series in the game, Matt Gay on the other side had met 46 pats in series. Both series ended at night: Myers missed his first Field Goal from 35 yards, Gay sat down his first PAT to the post. Seven victories in seven games. So the balance of the Seahawks was in their bang-green jerseys before this night. The defeat against the Rams thus marked the first defeat in the extraordinary Jerseys. Aaron Donald came on sack number 88.5 in his career. Thus, the defensive tackle is now the player with most sacks in the history of the Rams. Leonard Little held the record previously with 87.5 sacks.

The Star of the Game: Robert Woods (Wide Receiver, Rams)

Dress had dominated the first weeks of this NFL season, against the Seahawks proved Woods that he can play a similar level. Stafford deliberately searched Woods, the receiver found constant rooms in Seattles Zone Defense. He finished the game with most targets (14), catches (12) and yards (150) on the court.

The Flop of the game: Jamal Adams (Safety, Seattle Seahawks)

The Seahawks spent two rounds of rounds for Adams and made him the highest paid safety of the league. Against the Rams Adams did not play like the best Safety of the NFL, but like a large vulnerability in the defense. Adams allowed both the longest play of the game (68 yards to Jackson) as well as the first passing touchdown of the guests. For the first time, the 25-year-old lost the ball completely out of sight, shortly thereafter, Higbee in the end zone managed several yards separation against him. Against the Run, Adams revealed some weaknesses.

Analysis: Seahawks vs. Rams - The tactical panel

No team played more frequent Base Defense (three linebackers) in the first weeks of the season than the Seahawks, the Rams seemed offensive more often than any other team on 11-personnel (three wide receivers). Seattle adapted to the guest s staff: the Seahawks defensively put primarily on nickel-defenses with two liner on the field. Ramsey did not pursue Metcalf differently than in the last meetings of the two teams over the whole field. Ramsey has often been set up in the slot and thus did not take Metcalf nor locket. With a duel in the Red Zone, however, Metcalf Ramsey beat, he began the first touchdown in the first half. Stafford violated his index finger just before halftime. The Play Calling of the RAMs did not influence that: L.a. Called six passports in series at his first drive after the break. At the second drive four of five plays were passports. And the tactics had success: Rams scored their first two touchdowns of the game.

On the part of the Seahawks Wilson had to be replaced with a finger injury even by Smith. Seattle, however, did not apply to a clearly conservative game plan: at Smith s first Drive, the Seaahawk s seven passes and only two runs. Also in this case the courage was rewarded: the drive went over 98 yards and ended in the second Seahawk s touchdown of the match. Seattles Pass-Defense ended the first half on the paper with good statistics, but also benefited from several overthrows as well as a novel red-zone interception of Stafford. In the second half, the Rams moved the ball but nearly by the air. Stafford still did not play perfectly, but the Seahawks, however, made multiple coverage busts and always revealed huge gaps in their own pass defense. Whatever the RAMs had in mind with their kickoffs, it did not work. Matt Gay put the Kickoff in the second half twice in the side. Penalty, Seattle was allowed to start two drives at the 40-yard-line.
