The talented video game showcase moderator and famous friend of Hideo Kojima, Geoff Keighley, recently stayed in Twitter Spaces to keep a Q&A round around the upcoming Summer Game-which is scheduled to start on June 9. Of course, he did not reveal it everything the show would spoil. However, the fans learned how important the Elden ring dislocation was for the spectacular showcase of the past year.
"Last year was massive with Elden Ring", Keighley begins in response to a question from "Blaze". "It was cool because it was an announced game and we just shared the first gameplay of it... that was a really big moment." But how big was this moment? Well, as it turned out, it was the big moment that became a central pillar of last year's Summer Game.
In response to a question of "cyberpunkafrosamurai", Keighley explained how important Elden Ring was and explained that "From software had called [HIM] just a few days after the game Awards in 2020 and said:" Hey, we would like with you Work together and do something for Elden Ring. "
Keighley further explains that when he announced from software his plans regarding the larger Summer Game Festival Showcase 2021, she was enthusiastic about the "broadcast from home" in 2020 and that Elden Ring "really became an anchor, the half [Him] build the show ”.
"I couldn't believe that they wanted to bet on us if they could have been at every press conference, whether Xbox or PlayStation, [Or] their own event," says Keighley. "You believed in my vision of a cross -industry event."

It will be difficult to see how many spectators put on last year's Summer Game alone because of Elden Ring's appearance, but it is clear that Keighley appreciates the trust of From software and the announcement itself. But what does that mean for this year's Summer Game? Well, Keighley also shared an insight in it.
"I think it will be another show... There were obviously initial concerns because last year with Elden Ring was so big... How can you top that?" Keighley wondered to answer a question from "Thespherehunter". "The answer is that you don't do it, you simply come up with another show with other things."
Afterwards, Keighley repeated that he "felt honored what to do [he] doing" in order to share the work of the developers with the world and to discuss upcoming projects with players. As expected, he has not revealed anything about what these developers worked on - or anything about upcoming projects - but it sounds like fans should dampen their expectations after the unveiling of Elden Ring last year. There will be games, but they may not be so stunning. However, we don't know exactly.
